The A350-900 Long-Haul Configuration
The A350-900 long-haul version carries 42 business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout. The pitch is 60 inches and the seat width matches the 777 at 28 inches. Singapore Airlines operates the A350-900 in three distinct configurations — long-haul, medium-haul, and ultra long range — each with different seat counts and layouts. The seat experience on the A350-900 long-haul is broadly similar to the 777-300ER.
The A350-900 ULR
The Ultra Long Range variant of the A350-900 is used exclusively on Singapore Airlines' longest non-stop routes: Singapore to New York JFK, Singapore to Newark, and Singapore to Los Angeles. The aircraft carries 67 business class seats and 94 premium economy seats, with no economy class. Flight times reach up to around 19 hours on the New York route, making this one of the longest commercial flights in the world by duration.
The A380 Upper Deck
On A380 routes, Singapore Airlines places business class entirely on the upper deck. This gives the cabin a quieter, more intimate feel compared to a standard lower-deck configuration.
